How Can I Get Twilight Contact Lenses?

in Special Effect Contact Lenses

Twilight, the amazingly successful novel and film series in which a modern young girl falls in love with a vampire, has many fans of all ages worldwide. Unlike the familiar Dracula, the vampire characters in the Twilight series are more like Carmilla, the seductive teenager about whom the very first vampire book was written. They look normal at first glance, and are able to go out in sunlight (although preferring not to). Yet they have unique features, like their beautiful sparkling skin, and especially their amazing eyes.

Twilight Contact Lenses / Avatar Contact Lenses

If you’re like most of the series’ fans, you might identify not only with Bella, the lovelorn heroine, but with Edward, her ageless paramour, and his coterie of friends and enemies. You might not want to be an actual blood sucking vampire, but you’re attracted to the romantic ambiance of it all. You’d at least like to dress like that, and do what you can to look like that. Maybe you just want to be a Twilight vampire for Halloween, a costume party, or a film viewing or maybe you want to be a character from the movie, Avatar, which have the same kind of contact lenses.

Besides the clothes, jewelry and accessories, which are available in Hot Topic stores and on several websites, one of the easiest things to find are Twilight contact lenses. Anyone who has a prescription for contact lenses can buy them legally online or in person. A simple web search can find several online shops with lenses not only in Edward’s signature amber-gold, but in many other shades and effects related to supernatural creatures, not just of the Twilight variety. Of course, the vampires’ eyes as seen in the films are enhanced with CGI and can’t be duplicated exactly, but you can come very close.

Not all Twilight contact lenses are created equal. Some, apparently, come much closer to Edward’s real look than others. The contact lenses worn by Robert Pattinson were special dual-color lenses. Apparently they were designed exclusively for the film, and are available for $60 per pair.

A close copy of Edward’s lenses are sold for $89.95. They have a special page for Twilight movie vampire colored contact lenses — all non-prescription (note that you still need a prescription to buy them). If you are trying to emulate Edward’s look you want the “Wild Vampire Wolf Eyes” lenses. There are three other types sold, which may be of interest to you.

Some websites are selling less expensive “Edward’s Eyes” lenses for a special price of $39.95 (normally about $50) or the Amber Ambition contact lenses. You can add a prescription to these. Have fun!
