What to do if You Drop a Contact Lens

Be very careful picking up a fallen contact lens – especially if it has been there for a little while. It may be brittle and picking one up with your fingers could damage the lens or crack it. The best way to pick up a fallen contact lens is to slip a piece of paper underneath it and then carry over to where you can slide if off the sheet into some saline solution.
