Mad Hatter Contact Lenses

in Special Effect Contact Lenses

In the Disney movie, “Alice in Wonderland” Johnny Depp plays the Mad Hatter. He has an interesting appearance as he yet again is able to transform into a brand new character with the help of colored contact lenses – neon green colored eye contacts if I’m not mistaken.

Mad Hatter Contact Lenses

What might be popular this year for Halloween for some would be dressing up as the Mad Hatter. One important detail with that type of costume would be Mad Hatter contact lenses, which are available. They are pretty much like a neon green color (or some people call an off yellow color) that’s very noticeable.

Wearing colored contacts without prescription which are special effect contact lenses with your Halloween Costume is fun and you will get noticed. Most people will look at someone’s eyes when looking at them or talking to them, so when you wear these wild and crazy contact lenses with your Mad Hatter Halloween costume, people at the party will compliment you on paying attention to details. You’ll be the hit of the party for sure. Make sure you get plenty of pictures.

When you get special effect contact lenses, what you’re getting are what are called or referred to as Plano contact lenses. They do not offer any vision correction, so they are called non-corrective. These kinds of contacts are typically what are called opaque contact lenses, so they cover up the natural color of your eye and have a hole for your pupil to show though so that you can see. They are non corrective colored contacts but you will typically need a prescription to get them. All contact lenses, if they correct vision or not, are considered medical devices by law. Getting a prescription is easy though. You’ll just call an optometrist for an appointment and say that you want to get fitted for a pair of colored contact lenses.

Mad Hatter Contacts for Halloween Costumes

Get your prescription and then you can easily order your Mad Hatter colored contact lenses. The orange hair, eyebrows and makeup is optional. My guess is that since you’re interested in the special contacts, you’ve already got those other details all figured out. Oh, and don’t forget the mad hat! Your Halloween costume will look great this year.

When you wear them, be sure to take good care of them. They work just like normal contact lenses. You should be cleaning them when you remove them and then also rinse them out before you put them in. This separates any bacteria from the lens, which is very helpful in preventing things such as eye infections.

You may also be tempted to get one pair of Mad Hatter contact lenses and then share them with your friends. This is not a good idea. Even if you clean them really well by rinsing them with contact lens cleaning solution, bacteria could still very easily spread. You are best off if you each get your own pair.
