How to Get a Free Colored Contacts Sample

in Colored Contact Lenses

If you’ve ever wondered what you would look like with a different eye color, you may have thought about trying colored contact lenses at some point. Whether you already wear contact lenses for vision correction or if you’re interested in cosmetic contacts, you don’t have to pay to give colored contacts a try. Some companies will actually offer you a sample pair of colored contacts for absolutely free. Such an offer can be a major money saver for those who aren’t quite sure if colored contacts are right for them. This way, you get to try out your new eye color before you commit to actually buying a pair of colored contacts yourself.

How to Get Sample Contacts

It’s very easy to get a certificate for a free sample pair of colored contacts and usually doesn’t take more than just a few minutes of your time. The first thing to do is to decide what brand and styles of colored contacts you are interested in trying. Two major brands that offer free sample colored contacts are Acuvue 2 Colors and FreshLook color lenses. Acuvue is made by VISTAKON, a division of Johnson & Johnson and makes a large variety of contacts for nearly every vision need. Fresh-Look Contacts specialize in cosmetic contacts and offer several different color choices and unique styles to choose from as well as a free colored contacts sample. Many companies don’t provide free trial pairs of cosmetic lenses, so your choices will be smaller than if you were simply trying to obtain a free pair of standard contacts.

Once you’ve decided which brand you would like to try, you can get your certificate for a free pair of contacts from the company’s website or by calling them directly. Either way, in order to qualify for your free sample contacts you’ll have to fill out a simple form with your contact information and answer a few questions about your interest in colored contacts. Then the company will mail you your certificate for trial contacts. Sometimes they will email your certificate to you and you can print it right from your computer.

Free Colored Contacts Samples

Redeeming your certificate for free colored contacts isn’t as easy as simply going to the store and picking out a pair. You’ll have to make an appointment with your optometrist for an eye exam in order to get your free sample. Even if you’re only trying to get cosmetic contact lenses you’ll still need a prescription from the eye doctor. Be sure that the eye doctor you plan on using will accept your certificate before scheduling an appointment. Not all optometrists will honor free trial certificates.

After your eye exam is complete your eye doctor will accept your certificate and give you a free sample of colored contacts for you to try. Most trial contact lenses can be worn for 10 days before needing to be changed. This gives you plenty of time to get used to your new eye color and decide if it is right for you.

Pink ones might be hard to find but they’re out there. You will probably have to purchase them though. Getting samples of colored contacts is usually just standard colors like blue, brown, green and so forth. Pink colored contacts are usually considered special effect contact lenses for performances or maybe Halloween.
