This includes a complete eye exam, contact lens fitting, a trial pair of contacts to try out before committing to a large order, and a sit down class with a professional to make sure you can put them in and take them out correctly. You should express to the doctor what type of contact lens you’re looking for: color enhancing, color changing, or costume lenses.

Color enhancers will only boost the original color of your eye. They are equipped with a translucent tint that makes the eye color more intense, this works nicely for folks with lighter colored eyes. Color changing contacts have an opaque layer of color on the lens, rather than translucent, and can change the color of the eye completely. Finally, there are costume lenses. These are the crazy lenses usually reserved for special occasions like Halloween. Whichever one you choose, just remember to do it the right way and get a prescription from a doctor. After you’ve obtained that, you can order them from whomever you’d like, although your prescription will expire yearly and require annual eye exams in order to keep obtaining more lenses.
