Colored Contacts Without Prescription

Non prescription colored contacts (also called non corrective colored contacts) are contact lenses used just for cosmetic purposes. You can use them to change the color of your eyes and they have no vision correction. You put them in, take them out and care for them just like normal contacts and they’re fun to wear because you get to change your look.

Cosmetic Colored Contacts, No Prescription / No Rx

In order to get cosmetic colored contacts without a prescription, you should know a few things – even some legal issues that not everyone is aware of.

Getting Contacts Without an Eye Exam

Free Contact Lenses by Mail With No Eye Exam

First in order to get free color contacts lenses without an eye exam or check up, you will need to actually see an optometrist. This means you will need to get an eye exam since you will need to get a prescription, by law, in order to get colored contacts. Don’t worry. This isn’t a bad thing at all. You get your eyes checked in an exam that’s less than a half hour and to save money, you can easily go to an optical department in a department store.

If you do happen to need some vision correction, then it’ll be good you found out and it could also even save you money. I’ll explain that later. With the eye exam you get, the eye doctor will actually measure your eyes so that you get the right numbers for the base curve of your eye. This ensures that the cosmetic colored contacts fit your eyes well, helping to prevent dryness and infections.

Cheap Cosmetic Colored Contacts

You should not order cosmetic colored contacts from a retail that lets you order them without a prescription. If they’re doing that, which is illegal in the US, Canada and the UK, then they might also not be carrying reputable brands of non corrective colored contacts. If the paint used to color the lens has lead or some other poisonous material in it, then it could get into your eye and cause harm that cannot be fixed. You need to be really careful with contacts and make sure you always buy a name brand since name brands use quality materials that are FDA approved.

Types of Colored Contact Lenses / Natural Colored Contacts Without Prescription

There are two main types of colored contacts and which kind you’ll get will depend on what color your eyes already are. If you have light colored eyes, then you can use enhancement colors of contacts, which are also called natural colored contacts. These let some of your natural eye color show through, which can create some very nice looking color combinations. You can try to just enhance your eye color or introduce a new color into them, making them even more unique. You’ll get noticed for sure.

Colored Contacts for Dark Eyes

If you have dark colored eyes, then the kind of colored contact lens you will look at are called opaque lenses. What these do is completely cover the natural color of your eye. You can then change the color to whatever you want.

If you do use opaque contact lenses, then you should know a few things about cosmetic contact lenses without prescription that could become small issues. First, the clear part for your pupil is a fixed size. So if you are in a darker place and the pupils of your eyes get larger to bring in more light, then they will be larger than the the clear part of the opaque lens. It may be harder to see at night or in dark places. Also, sometimes the contact lens will move around on your eye, so that could affect your vision. It’s not a huge problem but still could be an issue. This is a reason why you want to make sure you see an eye doctor and get contacts fitted correctly for your eyes. Also getting colored contact lens samples by mail for free will help you find the best brand.

If you get either enhancement or opaque colored contacts without prescription, you will see how they will change the color of your eyes and change your appearance. People always look at other people’s eyes to show that they’re paying attention to them, so it’s almost impossible that someone won’t notice your eye color.

Free Cosmetic Colored Contacts Without a Prescription

When you are considering getting cosmetic colored contact lenses, you will do yourself a favor if you first get free sample contacts by mail. You can do this by looking for offers for free, trial contact lenses at the websites of contact lens manufacturers. With these certificates and your prescription in hand, you can take advantage of these free contact lens samples and find out which brand you like the best as well as which color looks the best on you since you can order a different color with each brand you try. This saves you some money on your colored contacts. So definitely take advantage of any offers for free colored contacts without prescription.

Other Ways to Save Money on Contacts

If you get your appointment for cosmetic colored contacts and find out that you could use some vision correction, then you could actually save some money. Many employers offer what is called a Flex Savings Account (FSA) or with your insurance, a Health Savings Account (HSA). With these accounts, you can put away money that’s pre-tax and use it for health related expenses. Doing this saves you 25% or more on top of any discount that your health insurance may provide.

Conclusion – Cosmetic Contact Lenses Without Prescription

If you’re looking for different types of colored contacts, which are also referred to as cosmetic colored contacts without a prescription or just colored contacts without prescription, then remember that you will need to see an eye doctor and get a valid prescription in order to legally get them. The doctor visit will be a good thing since it’s good to get your eyes checked from time to time even if you think you do not need vision correction. You can choose either enhancement color contacts or opaque contact lenses, depending on your natural eye color. You can then get free samples of contact lenses by taking advantage of those offers. This can save you money and so can using an HSA or FSA.

Have fun trying different colors and watching people’s reactions!

You can get violet cosmetic contact lenses from the manufacturer. Either they or your local eye doctor can get you some free samples. I just went to the eye doctor last week and it seems that they are carrying more and more kinds of contact lenses right there in their office.

There are offers for non prescription coloured contact lenses with free shipping. You can go to the contact lens companies’ websites, fill out the form, download the coupon and then take it to your eye doctor. The only part that’s not free is the eye exam but you need to get that if you live in the US or Canada.

WOULD LIKE TO ORDER GREY COLOR CONTACTS. IS THERE A PHONE NO. THAT I CAN TALK TO SOMEONE? THANK YOU, R, C ALDERA

Hi Rowenda,

Thank you for contacting us. Grey colored contacts are great to wear and look good on many people. If you want to get them to cover up darker colored eyes, like brown, then make sure you get the opaque style of gray contacts. This ensures that they completely block the natural color of your eyes so that you can go to a lighter shade instead. We don’t sell them here but there are many companies that do sell them.
