There is a new contact lens for persons suffering from astigmatism. In the past it has been so hard to keep the contacts in place or from keeping the contact from falling out of your eye all together when blinking occurs. Acuveu has come up with a solution for us, they with Johnson and Johnson Vision Products Inc. located in Jacksonville, Fl., have created the toric contact lens. It is a specially designed contact that uses the blinking reflex to keep the contact in position for clear unwavering vision all day. Also, hydraclear is a brand new designed used for keeping the contact pliable and soft on the eye all day. The best part is we can enjoy life with out the bulk of glasses all the time and not be aware of our astigmatism.
Acuvue Advance Toric Contacts
The contacts are tinted for easy insertion and they also contain a vertical indicator to ensure proper application. They have a low dehydration rate because of they are made of 53% polymer and 47% h2O. Toric contacts have 2 powers built in with different curves the first being for astigmatism and the second for myopia and hyperopia.
Your eye doctor can chose which toric contact is best for your eyes. Proper fitting is very important and toric contacts are not available without a prescription. Advanced toric contacts should only be worn 1 to 2 days safely at a time. Most toric contact fittings are trial and error. You may have to work with your eye doctor and tell him exactly how they feel and sit on your eye. Acuvue advanced toric contacts are sold in 6 sterile ultra violet blocking soft contact lenses.
They also come in colors as well or they can enhance the original beauty of your own eye color. Some are also disposable depending on color and the prescription prescribed. Acuvue advanced toric contacts are competitive in every way to the standard contact. They have just made the changes needed to fit astigmatism shaped eyes.
There is a 30 day Acuvue toric lens. It is a very healthy lens for your cornea as it allows thorough air flow to pass through it. It is comprised of siliconehydrogel, which gives the toric lens its ability produce air flow 6 to 7 times more than any other astigmatism or standard lens. But buyer beware not all siliconehydrogel lenses are approved for 30 days do your research if you plan on not ordering from Acuvue.
Acuvue advanced toric contacts are a blessing to those of us who suffer from astigmatism. They have been working hard to bring us the best in technology today. If you are tired of walking around with one contact in your eye at work or rinsing the one you found and repeatedly putting it back in well I do not no what to say, but Acuvue has given us an end to our smeared eyeliner and mascara. How about those eyelashes that get pulled out from excessive use? Seriously though, Acuvue advanced toric contacts are a healthy solution a problem that is only going to get worse, not better.
